Before & After care

Although we can’t predict or guarantee who may react, most clients do not experience reactions beyond redness & minor irritation (which is normal).

Please follow these guidelines to minimize irritation, possible break outs & ingrowns.

  • Avoid Exfoliating 48 hours before & after waxing

  • Avoid sun immediately after waxing & wear sun screen; recently waxed areas are prone to hyperpigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin) if exposed to the sun or solarium.

  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and other heated sources for at least 48 hours.

  • Do not have any heat treatments on the areas being waxed within 48hrs

(sun beds and hot stone therapy).

  • Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours after waxing.

  • Use exfoliating products such as scrubs, loofas and exfoliating gloves for proper exfoliation.

  • Avoid tight clothing after waxing, tight clothing may result in irritation & ingrown hairs.

  • Regular exfoliation twice to three times per week is helpful to remove dead skin cells so your hairs can get out & above the surface of the pores and not become ingrown.

  • Avoid hot baths, hot showers or sexual activity for at least 10 hrs after a Brazilian. While your pores are open, they are vulnerable to irritation by the extreme temperatures & infection by bacteria.

  • Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure & may minimize irritation.

  • DO NOT shave in between waxes! This distorts the hair growth cycle. You may trim in between if needed.

  • Avoid Applying make-up directly after facial wax.
